Shiatsu for Health

    About Me

I am a licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). Since earning my license in 1995, I have received extensive training in Zen Shiatsu. Most recently, I attended postgraduate training in 2005 and 2006 at the Shiatsu School of Great Britain. Currently I am in a two year Shiatsu teacher training program with some of the same instructors. My practice has benefited greatly from the training and support from this school and their instructors with international credentials. Zen Shiatsu is a method of bodywork I feel produces greater benefits and results from my clients.

In addition to my private practice, since 1996 I have worked with the Institute of Traditional Medicine in their Immune Enhancement Programs. The Program cares for patients who have cancer, MS, HIV, arthritis and chronic pain. The Shiatsu clinic provides an important part of the Institute's program that includes Acupuncture and Chinese herbs for their patients. Through my work there I have gained greater knowledge and effectiveness in using Shiatsu to address illnesses and diseases that compromise the immune system.
